Before turning professional, Rasmus attended Oklahoma State University where he competed on the golf team and reached the Top 25 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. He was named a First Team All American for the 2019-2020 season and represented the International Team at the 2022 Arnold Palmer Cup.
Rasmus had an incredibly fast start to life as a professional golfer. In just his second professional event he finished in a tie for seventh at the 2023 BMW International Open. A season that started with no status and began in July 2023, ended up with Rasmus securing full playing rights on the Challenge Tour for 2024.
Another exciting year followed as Rasmus won the Road to Mallorca, winning three times and gaining automatic promotion to the DP World Tour in August. It included wins at the Kolkata Challenge, Abu Dhabi Challenge and Big Green Egg German Challenge, plus a runner-up finish and very close call at the season ending event, the Rolex Grand Final presented by the R&A.
The successful seasons kept on rolling into 2025, as Rasmus finished 15th on the season ending Race to Dubai and gained the last card for PGA Tour promotion. The pivotal moment came as he birdied five out the last six holes at the DP World Tour Championship, playing with Rory McIlroy, to take a tie for third and earn his PGA Tour promotion. Two weeks later, Rasmus capped off the perfect season by winning the Crown Australian Open at the iconic Royal Melbourne Golf Club, gaining entry to The Masters for 2026.
Away from golf Rasmus likes to spend time in Copenhagen with his friends and family. He is a cold plunge enthusiast and Arsenal FC fan.
