Sampson graduated from California Berkeley University in the summer of 2023 after a stellar college career, resulting in him reaching as high as 13th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
Sampson won the John Burns Intercollegiate and finished runner up at the Asia Pacific Amateur Championship, before going on to represent the International team at the Arnold Palmer Cup.
With limited Asian Tour status when he turned professional, Sampson finished 35th on the season ending Order of Merit from just nine starts. That included a runner up finish at the Indonesian Open and a fourth placed finish at the International Series England.
Sampson's solid form on the Asian Tour continued into 2025 as he finished 23rd on the Order of Merit. His season included one top five finish and four top 15 finishes.
Away from the course Sampson has a huge passion for cooking and tasting different cuisines from around the world.
